La Maison Fanny is situated in the countryside just outside the village of Gargas in the Parc Naturel du Luberon, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty in southern Provence . The house is part of a large provencal mas, La Chapelle de Bruoux which is located in a tranquil situation in the countryside with views across to the pretty village of Roussillon . Gargas village has everything for your everyday needs and the town of Apt is just a short drive away with bigger supermarkets and shops. The house is ideally located for exploring this lovely area of southern Provence with its pretty perched villages and beautiful countryside.

The House

La Maison Fanny is part of a restored stone built luxurious provencal mas, La Chapelle de Bruoux . La Chapelle was built on the site of a former 12 th century priory in large grounds of 10 acres of pine woods in a peaceful and secluded location in the countryside. The garden is fully enclosed with electric gates and a video entry-phone. There is a large private swimming pool and a tennis court for sole use of the guests

The house is tastefully furnished in modern provencal style and comfortably sleeps 6 people in three bedrooms. Entering into the wide entrance hall, steps lead you down to the large, light and airy dining room and comfortable sitting room. Both these rooms open out onto a spacious shady terrace ideal for outdoor dining and with views across to the village of Roussillon – a delightful sight in the evening when the lights of the village sparkle in the distance. The kitchen is also on this lower floor and is well equipped with American size fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven and hob. There is a separate laundry room with washing machine.

There is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom on the ground floor and with access outside to the side terrace and garden. There are two further double bedrooms on the second floor which share a bathroom and there is separate wc on this floor.

The very spacious gardens offer lots of outdoor living space. The large swimming pool is set below the house and has an in-water alarm for security. There is a shower and loungers by the pool and pretty cane furniture for outdoor dining on the terrace. The full size tennis court and boules court are available for guests use.

All linen and towels (including pool towels) are included together with a cleaning service during rentals and on departure. A cot, baby sitter and a chef for cooking your meals at home can be arranged on request. The house has direct dial telephone and is equipped with Satellite TV for entertainment.

La Maison Fanny can be rented individually or together with the other two parts of La Chapelle for larger parties sleeping up to 17 people. In order to ensure client privacy, the three parts of the mas are never let individually all at the same time.

 


Booking Conditions & Rental Cost 2010

The rent includes all services except the cost of telephone calls. Two hours of cleaning per week are included together with cleaning on your departure. Additional cleaning can be arranged for an extra charge if required

We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking. A damages deposit of £1500 is required at the time of final payment and is refundable after departure. Any breakages, etc. will be made against the deposit. A cleaning service can be arranged during your stay by prior arrangement at time of booking. Bookings are usually from Saturday to Saturday but if you require more flexible arrangements, subject to availability arrival days and holiday duration can be arranged according to your requirements. In order to clean and check the house we ask guests to arrive between after 16.00 p.m. and to leave by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.

In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from airlines, ferry companies, and the AA.
