The property is located in the village of Maubec situated at the eastern of the Luberon valley and is ideally placed for exploring this beautiful area with its lovely perched villages and glorious countryside.  The house is completely private with its own garden and pool with views of the Luberon hills nearby.

The village has a small supermarket selling everything for every day needs including the morning bread, a 2 minute stroll away.   There is also a restaurant in the village serving pizzas cooked on a wood fire and local provencal dishes. Good Cotes de Ventoux and Cotes du Luberon wine can be bought direct from the growers at several of the excellent vineyards in the area and there are many good restaurants for eating out.

The House

La Dragonne de Flore is a pretty house with three bedrooms, one with ensuite shower, and a separate bathroom.  The large mezzanine above the living room offers additional sleeping space with bunk beds for children under the eaves.  There are warm terracotta floors throughout and all the rooms open onto the south facing garden terrace.  The large and comfortable living room has an open fireplace and is equipped with TV and DVD player.  All the settees are double sofa beds so for larger parties it is possible for the house to accommodate 10 people using these together with the beds on the mezzanine.

The dining/kitchen area leads off the living room.  The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave with a washing machine in an adjoining laundry room.  There is also a separate toilet. 

There are three sunny bedrooms, two doubles (one with ensuite shower) and a twin. There is a separate bathroom with bath and shower.  .

The garden is completely private and the house has its own pool (10x4.5m) plus shower room and a summer kitchen with BBQ and dining area, ideal for dining al fresco.Pool loungers are provided.

Bed linen and towels are not provided but it is possible to hire these from the owner for a small charge.  If you require a cleaner for the end of your stay this can also be arranged at a cost of €85.  Please stipulate at time of booking.



 
Booking Conditions & Rental Cost 2008

The rent includes all services except heating in the cooler month. Guests are asked to clean the house on departure. A cleaning service can be arranged if preferred for an additional charge. Bed linen can be hired from the owner at a cost of 8€ per bed and towels for 5€.

If you are considering renting the house outside of these dates please contact us to discuss the cost.

We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking.  We also require a £350 deposit against damages which should be sent at the time of making your final payment.  Any breakages and damages  will be made against the deposit and the balance returned to you.  Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday.  In order to clean and check the house we ask guests to arrive after 17.00 p.m. and to leave by 9.00 a.m. on the day of departure.

In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from airlines, ferry companies, and the AA.
