The house is situated in the countryside just outside the village of Gargas in the heart of the Parc Naturel du Luberon. The village has everything for your everyday needs. The town of Apt is just a short drive away with bigger supermarkets and shops. The house is ideally located for exploring this lovely area of southern Provence with its pretty perched villages and varied countryside.
The House
La Maison de Claudine is a stone built spacious provencal house in a peaceful location on a hillside in pine woods outside the village which is just 5 minutes drive away. The house is well furnished in modern provencal style with beautiful terracotta floors throughout giving a very warm ambience and has lots of living space both inside and out. There is a well equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven & hob, microwave and dishwasher and there is a separate washing machine. The large and airy living/dining room has a comfortable seating area and this room, together opens out on to the terrace with covered dining area. The house has satelliteTelevision a CD Hifi for entertainment.
There are four bedrooms, one double en suite with bath and shower, one double en suite with shower and one children’s bedroom with four single beds in the eaves of the house. There is a separate toilet on the ground floor. The third double bedroom is in the studio adjoining the house. The studio has its own shower and toilet and seating area including a small outside terrace – ideal for additional guests or a couple desiring more privacy from the main party. The studio is never let separately from the main house.
The secluded garden slopes into the hillside and pine woods around the house. There are plenty of seating areas and space on the large terrace for outdoor dining. The 8x4m swimming pool is on the south facing side of the house and is alarmed for security and equipped with loungers for sunbathing. There is an electric bbq. To the side of the house is a large gravelled area equipped for badminton, volleyball and boules. There are strolls into the countryside direct from the house through the woods.
Bed linen and towels (but not pool towels) are provided together with a cleaning service at the end of your stay. For stays of longer than one week a mid-stay clean is also included. Additional cleaning can be arranged for an extra charge if required.
For smaller parties, the house can be rented without the studio providing accommodation for 4 adults and 4 children.
