La Maison de Marie-Thérèse is a small but comfortable stone built house in the centre of the lovely old hamlet of Fontcaudette near the village of Gordes , one of the most famous of the perched villages of the Luberon valley. There is local shopping in Gordes and an excellent Sunday morning market a short drive away at nearby Coustellet. The hamlet is surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and cherry orchards and the house is ideally located for exploring this beautiful part of Provence . The local villages offer an excellent choice of restaurants and the area is exceptionally good for walking and cycling.

Further afield the attractions of Avignon , Aix en Provence , St. Remy and Orange together with the vineyards of the Cotes du Rhone and Chateauneuf du Pape are all within easy day excursion distance

The House

This simple but comfortable two storey house is decorated in provencal style and provides a comfortable base from which to explore the lovely Luberon valley and surrounding area. The house is light and airy with large south facing windows. Downstairs the living/dining room with table and chairs for 4 and a sofa, leads onto a small but well equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge freezer. There is a washing machine in the laundry room upstairs.

Upstairs is a large and sunny double bedroom with a spacious en suite bathroom with shower. There is a separate toilet. The bedroom windows have a lovely view across the old tiled roofs of the hamlet to the Luberon hills beyond - a delightful sight to wake up to in the morning. The house has central heating and is thus ideal for an off-season break. There is a television for entertainment (French channels only) and a DVD player.

Outside, there is a spacious terrace which looks over the olive grove and fields. This terrace provides an outdoor dining room and pleasant place to relax outside.

Bed linen and towels, are provided and also a cleaner for the end of your stay. The rent includes all services including heating in the cooler months

We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking.
A damages deposit of £200 is payable by separate cheque at time of final payment. This is refunded after your departure once the house has been checked. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. In order to clean and check the house we ask guests to arrive between 16:00 and 18:00 and to leave by 10:00 latest.

In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from airlines, ferry companies, and the AA
