Le Mas Bernardo is a large stone built house located a short distance from the village of St. Saturnin d' Apt in the Parc Naturel du Luberon. The village nestles into the side of the Vaucluse hills with beautiful views from the windmill and ruined chateau across the whole of the Luberon valley.
St. Saturnin has everything for your day to day needs with two good bakers, a butcher and a small supermarket, a doctor and pharmacy, a news agent, shops selling locally produced olive oil and wine plus restaurants and café bars.

The house is well located for exploring the Luberon valley or simply relaxing by the pool or on the terraces with their superb views.

The House

Le Mas Bernardo is in a quiet location on a south facing hillside with lovely views and is close to the village centre - approximately 8 minutes walk. It has a large south facing garden of olive and oak trees and pretty flower beds plus a small potager with home grown fruit and vegetables. The house has been recently renovated and is tastefully decorated with a mixture of modern and provencal furnishings.

The house is light and airy and very spacious with a large covered terrace for the cooler months and a recently built open terrace with 'fer forgé' table and chairs and a parasol for shade. Both terraces have superb views right across the Luberon valley. There are four bedrooms (two double, two twin) each with its own bathroom or shower room. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor and one is upstairs. The fourth bedroom is directly accessed from the garden and has its own separate sitting room. There is a large dining room with television and separate living room equipped with home cinema with a large supply of DVD's for entertainment. There is also table football to keep the children amused and there is a broadband internet connection for guests use. The kitchen is well equipped with oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and coffee machine. The washing machine and tumble dryer are in a separate laundry room. The house has central heating plus additional electric heaters for the cooler months.

The terrace leads down to the garden and pool area where there is a pool house, summer kitchen with barbecue and outdoor dining area with table and chairs under the trees The 8x4 metre pool has an in-water pool alarm and a lightweight cover to retain the heat of the water overnight. There is also a ping-pong table and boules for guests use. The sheltered area around the pool gives plenty of sunbathing space for which pool loungers are provided and the garden has lots of shady spots under the trees for the heat of the day.

Bed linen and towels, including pool towels, are provided together with a cleaning service at the end of your stay. If you require cleaning services during your stay this can be arranged for an extra charge.

Booking Conditions & Rental Cost

The rent includes all services except the cost of heating in the cooler months. Cleaning at the end of your stay is included in the rental cost.

We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking. We also require a £500 deposit against damages as a separate cheque. Any breakages or damage will be made against the deposit, together with the cost of telephone calls made during your stay, and the balance returned to you. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. In order to clean and check the house we ask guests to arrive between after 5 p.m. and to leave before 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.

In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from airlines, ferry companies, and the AA .
