Delightful Cottage with own pool, St. Saturnin d'Apt
Sleeps 2 - 4

Our cottage is in the old picturesque hamlet of Pouraque, around 20 minutes walk from the centre St Saturnin village. The village nestles into the side of the Vaucluse hills with beautiful views from the windmill and ruined chateau across the whole of the Luberon valley. St. Saturnin has everything for your everyday needs with two excellent bakers, a butcher and a small supermarket, a doctor and pharmacy, a news agent, shops selling locally produced olive oil and wine plus two good restaurants and café bars.
The House
The house is on two storeys. The ground floor comprises a fully equipped kitchen/dining room and small sitting room with provencal fireplace for open log fires. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker, fridge and washing machine. The sitting room opens to the side of the house onto the courtyard. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two singles. There is a shower room with washbasin and shower and separate toilet. All the rooms are attractively furnished and the house comfortably accommodates 4 people. There are electric heaters in all the rooms for the cooler months.
The garden at the rear of the house is very secluded. There is plenty of sitting out area and chairs and tables are provided for eating out. The private swimming pool is surrounded by pretty shrubs and flower pots and there is plenty of sunbathing space. Loungers are provided. In our experience swimming in April is only for the very hardy and thus, subject to demand, we operate the pool from May to September.
Bed linen and towels are provided but please bring your own pool towels. There is a cd hifi, DVD player and television for entertainment and we also leave a few books in the house .

If you are considering renting our house outside of these dates please contact us to discuss the cost.
We are very conscious of safety and the potential hazard of swimming pools for young children, for this reason we do not accept bookings from families with children under five.
We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking. We also require a £250 deposit against damages as a separate cheque which should be sent at the time of making final payment. All telephone charges, breakage's, etc. will be made against the deposit and the balance returned to you. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. In order to have time to check the house, change beds, clean the pool and tidy the garden etc. we ask guests to arrive between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. and to leave at 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.
In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from airlines, ferry companies, and the AA.
