La Chapelle de Bruoux is situated in the countryside just outside the village of Gargas in the heart of the Parc Naturel du Luberon in a secluded situation with views across to the pretty village of Roussillon. The village has everything for your everyday needs and the town of Apt is just a short drive away with bigger supermarkets and shops. The house is ideally located for exploring this lovely area of southern Provence with its pretty perched villages and beautiful countryside.

The House

La Chapelle de Bruoux is a restored stone built luxurious provencal mas, part of which was previously a medieval chapel. The house is in a peaceful and secluded location built on the site of a former 12th century priory in large grounds of 10 acres of pine woods ensuring privacy and tranquilty. The garden is fully enclosed with electric gates and a video entry-phone.

Tastefully furnished in modern provencal style the property offers lots of living space both inside and out. There is a large private swimming pool and a tennis court for sole use of the guests. The property comprises three separate accommodations, which as a whole very comfortably accommodate up to 17 people in seven bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 shower rooms, 3 well equipped kitchens, lounges and spacious outdoor terraces. All linen and towels (including pool towels) are included together with a cleaning service during rentals and on departure. A baby sitter and two chefs for cooking your meals at home can be arranged on request. The house has direct dial telephone and is equipped with Satellite TV for entertainment. There is a fully equipped laundry room for guests use and the house is well equipped for babies with cots, high chairs and even push chairs.

As a whole La Chapelle is a superb property for large parties or groups of friends who wish to holiday together but retain a degree of privacy and independence. Outside of April to September, the main property, "Fanny" may be rented as a single entity sleeping 6 people Details of each of the three accommodations are described below. Each are independent from one another.

Fanny
This is the main part of the mas sleeping 6 people and comprising 3 double bedrooms, one ensuite on the ground floor and two upstairs which share a bathroom. The large and airy dining room and comfortable sitting room open out onto a spacious shady terrace with views across to the village of Roussillon. The house has a well equipped kitchen with an American size fridge freezer, diswasher, oven and hob.

Marius and César
These are two smaller houses to the rear of the main part of the mas. The two houses share a large shady terrace but each has its own separate entrance. Both have two bedrooms and one bathroom. In Marius the bedrooms comprise one double and a double with a single bed, accommodating up to 5 people in total. César’s two bedrooms each sleep three people with one double and one single bed in each, accommodating up to 6 in total. Both houses have well equipped kitchens and pretty dining and lounge areas.

Booking Conditions & Rental Cost                   

The rent includes all services except the cost of telephone calls. Cleaning is included in the rental cost as detailed below.. Additional cleaning can be arranged for an additional charge if required.

If you are renting the whole of La Chapelle, 6 hours of cleaning per week is included during your stay. Cleaning on departure is also included.

If you are renting Fanny, 4 hours of cleaning per week are included together with cleaning on departure.

We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking. We also require a deposit against damages as a separate cheque and sent at the time of your final payment, as follows:

£2225 if renting the whole property
£1500 if renting Fanny

Any breakages or damage will be made against the deposit, together with the cost of telephone calls made during your stay, and the balance returned to you. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. In order to clean and check the house we ask guests to arrive between after 17.00 p.m. and to leave before 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.

In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from airlines, ferry companies, and the AA.
